The character limit is a hard maximum. Long subtitle and text lines are split at natural boundaries, with short fragments merged where possible. The preferred minimum is a guideline. Conflicts with the maximum or protected phrases will be reported.
Each Chinese character, letter, number, punctuation mark and internal space counts as one character. OTC counts as three. Leading and trailing whitespace is excluded. Character count does not measure visual width.

Convert subtitles to the format your editor needs
Upload an SRT, VTT, ASS or SSA file, select Start, then choose SRT, VTT or ASS as the output format. Preview and download the converted subtitles.
Conversion keeps visible text and timing. Styling, positioning and effects are not retained. ASS output uses a default style and hundredth-second timing precision.
